The Rare Fruits Council
- Director : Manfred Kraemer (violin)
- Year ensemble formed : 1997
- Description : "The name of the ensemble, an allusion to the
florid, naturalistic titles of many music editions of the baroque period, also
suggests an aesthetic purpose: To discover the familiar under and exotic
garment, as in the riddle, or as in art, to turn into something different an
already known and attractive object... To interpret the never before as if it
had always been, and the always as if never ever before." -- from the CD
booklet for "L'ange et la diable".

- Directors : Claudia Gerauer, Martina Joos and Thomas Engel
- Year ensemble formed : 2004 -- by Claudia Gerauer, Martina Joos and
Thomas Engel
- Description : Originated from
Trio O'Henry. The
ensemble's name comes from the Spanish word for hopscotch. The ensemble
traces the changes that music has undergone in the course of time, and
brings works that are sometimes centuries apart into relation with one
another. The starting point for the work of RAYUELA is the music from the
period before 1650, most of which is not scored for particular instruments
and therefore leaves a great deal of freedom for experimenting with
different arrangements.

- Year ensemble formed : 1997 -- by Loud
- Description : The ensemble's motto is, Bridging worlds, expanding boundaries.
"The ensemble is dedicated to cross-disciplinary collaboration in concert
programming, with an emphasis on presenting music of the baroque era. In a cultural
climate in which music education can no longer be taken for granted and audiences are
becoming more visually oriented, Rialto aims to place the music of previous eras in new
contexts that will be educational and inspirational. Through provocative and illuminating
combinations of drama, dance, imagery and music, we have steadily attracted a more diverse
audience for baroque music, of which people of many ages and interests experience the
glorious capabilities of human spirity, imagination and ingenuity."

"He [Don Quixote] next proceeded to inspect his hack (...) And so, after having
composed, struck out, rejected, added to, unmade, and remade a multitude of names out of
his memory and fancy, he decided upon calling him Rocinante [= a hack], a name, to his
thinking, lofty, sonorous, and significant of his condition as a hack before he became
what he now was, the first and foremost of all the hacks in the world. Having got a name
for his horse so much to his taste, he was anxious to get one for himself (...)"

Rubinstein Players
- Director : Maria Lyapkova (piano)
- Year ensemble formed : ?
- Description : The ensemble's repertoire performed on period
instruments is rather various and consists of famous, rare and unknown works
from the early 19th to the early 20th century. The group members are
interested in both European and Russian music but they put a particular aim
for themselves to rediscover the badly known and rarely heard Russian music
of the second part of 19th century. Their repertoire includes piano trios,
quartets, quintets and sonatas by Beethoven, Schubert, Mendelssohn, Brahms,
Frank, Rubinshtein, Arensky, Taneev, Medtner and many other composers.
