Lygonia Consort
- Director : The Lygonia Consort is a co-operative ensemble. Each artist
contributes to the artistic direction.

- Description : The name "Lygonia" is associated with one of the earliest
"New World" settlements in Maine. The name Lygonia comes from the Lygonia
Province, a mid-17th century general-assembly-governed region comprising what is today the
greater Portland and Casco Bay area of southern Maine. The province was named after Cycely
Lygon, mother of Sir Ferdinando Gorges. Gorges owned through Royal Charter most of what is
today the State of Maine.

Lyra Baroque Orchestra

- Description : Initially marketed as The Lyra Concert. In April
2000, following the retirement of Randy Bourne founding artistic director,
Lyra appointed new co-artistic directors -- David Douglass, violinist and
founder of The King's Noyse, and Jacques Ogg, harpsichordist for Europe's
Orchestra of the 18th Century and professor of harpsichord at the Royal
Conservatory in The Hague, Netherlands. This co-director leadership model
continued through the 2003-2004 season. In the spring of 2004, Lyra
implemented a single artistic director leadership model and appointed
Jacques Ogg as Artistic Director and David Douglass as Special Guest
Director. Performs historically informed, seventeenth and eighteenth century
musical performances to a wide and diverse audience, utilizing period
instruments and intimate seating arrangements to provide a meaningful,
unique musical experience.
