Ensemble Aglāia (named after one of the three Graces from Greek mythology) was founded in Milan in 1992 by Cinzia Barbagelata and Jorge Alberto Guerrero. It is a chamber music group who specializes in Baroque and pre-classical music performed on original instruments. The members are all professional young musicians with brilliant backgrounds sharing a common interest in the research and interpretation of early works.

Ensemble Aglāia varies in size from trio to full chamber orchestra depending on each performances needs. The Ensemble has been invited to perform at various important muisc festivals in Italy as well as abroad, including "Musica e Poesia a San Maurizio - Milano", "Autunno Musicale di Como", "Banco della Republica - Bogota'" and the "Cite' de la musique - Paris" .

The Ensemble has rapidly established itself in the early music field. Their expressive and historically-informed interpretations have attracted the attention of musicologists and has been rewarded with excellent reviews and public favor.
